Re: Any shredders out there?
Hey Guys,
I'm gonna take a slightly different route on this instead of going through individual/group emails...that's becoming a bit overwhelming. We can actually cross the bridge of emails when it comes time for narrowing my picks down later. So, I'm thinking there'll be more efficiency if I just post the material requiring lead right here. Those that are interested can download what I post here and then post their recorded mp3's of the material with the lead-work here. If it sounds appropriate to me, I'll let you know via PM, and we'll go from there. For the record, my email is "cecilyarborough@gmail.com" if you have any questions/comments/concerns.
I'll post the original clip that I sent out recently, so that it's not easily misplaced, as well as another backing track that I just fixed up.
The area on "Banishment" where I'd like to have a solo over is precisely at 1:42 - 2:12
The area on "Menace" that needs some lead is at 1:39-1:59 and 2:25-3:18.
I wanted to have some of my rhythm guitars mixed in the "Menace" track, but time is short at the moment...I gotta full plate. Just try to do the best you can with the drums and bass if possible. Thanks for all you guys' cooperation and patience. More material coming soon. One last thing: the lead-work does not have to be shred at all. I'm all about good melodic, touchy-feely stuff too. So, if you're not a shredder, no sweat. Also, I purposely have not specified the types of approaches I'm looking for either. The whole reason why I'm interested in collaborating is to get a diverse sense of styles for my record. I do lead stuff as well, but I thought it'd be neat to have you guys' own stylistic approaches with the material. I will have a couple more bits of material up extremely soon. Thanks for bearing with me.
Peace,and thanks again,
