15 popular EQ plugin shootout

Hi and here's my shootout of some of the popular software EQ's you can find on the market. Hope you'll like it

The Method

An Epiphone AJ-200 SCE acoustic guitar sample recorded through a

Neumann KM184 > John Hardy M1 preamp > Apogee Rosetta 200 > Cubase SX4
was passed through 15 different equalizers, using the same settings.


Some equalizers have different parameters, they were adjusted as close as possible to the standard setting.

Clips were recorded in 24bits 44.1kHz format,
then dithered to 16bits 44.1kHz using R8brain pro, and finally compressed to 256kbits VBR format using LAME mp3 encoder.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME AND THE FUTURE OF RECEORDING, BECAUSE AS YOU KNOW MOST PEOPLE ARE LEANING TOWARDS THE USE OF THESE PLUG IN'S FOR THIER OVERALL SOUND WHICH IS MOST IMPORTANT RIGHT ALONG WITH GOOD MUSIC BEING PRODUCED. SO YOU CAN HAVE ALL THE $$$ GEAR YOU WANT BUT IF YOU CAN'T GET THE FINAL SOUND YOUR LOOKING FOR WHICH THE PLUG INS CAN PROVIDE THEN ALL YOUR WORK IS PRETTY MUCH A DILUTED..

How do we tell which sample goes with which EQ? Are they in the same order as listed?
