Default Looking for my rock sound - new guitar

Greeting,

Finally got a electric that I am comfortable with. I tried two tracks this afternoon with a mic.

DeArmond M65 bridge humbucker
Behringer gm108 at low vol - drive at 5, vol 2
Global Audio GXL2400
Tascam US122

For this second track, I used the default dynamics processor on the guitar demo preset - which looks to be mild compression..
And, I tweaked the monitor latency for this single mic reverb. Monitors are about 4 foot away and high.

Please forgive my playing but I have problems finding the string with one eye - no depth of field.

I think I can work with this basic set-up for guitar. Last night I added a Fulltone '70 and a Vox wah to my cart. I think these two things will round out the sound I'm looking for.

So, Do you think I'm on the right track for zeppelin-ish rock ?? I don't have room for amps, but I'm hoping the fulltone will add just enough to the pick-ups. Any ideas ??

Not sure about your tone but your levels are really REALLY low...

Garww im listening right now and i think yr fully on the right track for a zep sound. It can be a bit tough to tell though as sometime the guitar sound is helped out a lot by the bass.

Thanks,WJR !! I have no idea how to get a dazed and confused BASS. Ha !! You know, that fulltone pedal might just fat out a bass line enough to work.

I think this guitar sound will have waaaay too much bass in a mix. After shaving that out it may be back to the drawing board.

Thanks, Paul !! I do see that, for sure. The bridge PU is weakish and is sitting for bass output. I should be able to realign that a bit. But, it's still a bit weak. I've got a FMR on my list, but that will possibly be months away. Besides my technique, the amp is a weak spot but it will have to do - maybe with a new driver - something I though about since I got it.
