Default Jazz/pop/rock song > please bash

All instruments played and or programmed by me. Vocals will be replaced by someone who can actually sing . As you can hear (if possible because off all the effects) thats not my strongest point (understatement)!

You painted a nice landscape, but it seems to meander (sounds like you might have pieced together several interesting concepts, but I don't hear a thread that sews them all together). Technically, the instrumentals are great. You shouldn't hide your voice that much, no matter how good or bad it is. All the effects conflict with the instrumental tapestry you're trying to weave. So I'd say make the intro shorter, and weave it together.

Thanks! This song is from another project I am working on (more prog rock oriented). Your absolutely right about the vocals, it was the first time ever I recorded my own voice, and it serves as not more as a guide for the final vocals (by a good vocalist). These final vocals will probably be totally different in the sense of effects usage (dryer!).

And I also agree about the meandering and I will shorten the intro... I am also thinking of replacing the typical jazz guitar in the intro by something more coherent with the rest of the song, but, as we all know, it is sometimes difficult to 'kill your darlings'...

Thanks again for your comments. Very helpfull indeed.

All the best,

Aldo
