this definately reminds me of a soundtrack score. i like it. only thing i can maybe say, and this is reaching, but the kick sounds great once those guitars kick in but its so clicky during the down parts. maybe some volume automation or even roll off some of that high end eq just during those parts where its it dosent need that click to cut thru your mix. overall u did an awesome job.

I really like the texture of the overdriven guitars during the chorus - It sounds like you've done some subtle layering. I think this is the key when getting the clean guitar parts to gel with the heavier ones - Just as (I'm assuming) you've layered clean(er) guitars under the dirty ones for the chorus, why not try layering some dirtier sounds underneath the clean ones during the verse? I think this would make for a less abrupt transition from verse to chorus. The only other criticism I would have (& this is only a small niggle) is that everything sounds a bit stiff & too "right on the beat". Injecting a bit of a human feel into the midi parts by randomising the velocities & swinging the beats a little would really help liven things up. This is particularly noticeable with the kick on this tune. Otherwise - excellent job, you definitely have a load of great ideas, & you're getting excellent sounds.

thnx guys ,yea using daw's are new to me.thats one thing i dont like about using midi.either.i havnt figured out how to use the velocities, envolopes, and even the swings real touchy on my program.ive recently re-mixed this trak, but,i think you have a good point on the composition for sure. the changes are very abrupt.and i get frustrated going back and forth to my car and 2 dif.stereos .it takes a lot of cds but,im getting better you should here the crap i was mixing about 4 months ago.anyways thnx again im working on the vocals for this one maybe in a few months ill be able to put it in the finished section

thats so, funny man. the temp.name i was using was the "movie song"like a 70s all in the family sitcom or something.well maybe just for the intro mainly.but, yea i think you are absolutely right.i didnt really realize that about the kick for the cleaner parts.now that youve said that, its really sticking out to me now thnx man
