i kept waiting for the guitars to kick in and be full force in your face. the drums are obviously programmed, and sound in the front of the mix. but your guitar sounds like you recorded it from across the room.

the tone is great. i love that. but with the close mic'd drums and in your face mix, the drums dont go well with the far away sounding guitar.

so do one of two things. bring your guitar to the front of the mix more, or air out the drums.

otherwise i like it.

As Pdcrow pointed out the guitar sounds far away. If it is going to end up in a dense mix it will disappear. In a power trio situation it could be very cool if it was made appropriate with the drums.

Cheers

Thanks for the get back brothers,my only intentions here were to get the guitar tone recorded and see what other people though about my sound,or what i thought was a reasonable sound. Meaning were people gonna say oh its too bassy ,middy, i do or dont like your tone,or whatnot. I wasnt overly concerned about anything other than that and the fact of adding an attachment as computer usage isnt one of my strongest points.

These were just off the top of my head riffs that werent played all that well, nor do thet really make all that much sense from a song standpoint.16 bit beta monkey drum loops to boot. But again the mix or drum sound was of no importance.

As im standing in front of my amp i am somewhat wowed by my tone, but havent had much luck getting it to tape.

Not only is this not an accurate rep of my sound but in the end used Waves GTR 3 as a helper.

Shouldve mentioned in the first place; sm57,beta 57 ,close miced one speaker in a mesa 4/12 cab. Focusrite 428 pre,s.Spiced up with GTR3.

Thanks again for the bash.

I like the riffs will but again i would say that you can hear either the loop repeating or you stopped playing for a sec then started? ex .53 and 2 more times after. maybe smooth this out with delay to carry your sound until you play again? overall i like the sound even with the drums. good work will

so now we hear a little snipet from will!

The tone of the guitar sounds good to my ears.

If this were a recording for a song, I would point out that it feels like a mono recording and you could add spaciousness by placing a 30 ms stereo delay (for instance).

But the tone of the guitar sounds good.
