Default First part with vox, but drums and guitar finally recorded! How do they sound?

Okay it needs more mixing, but i am asking you all if i am on the right track.

i programmed the drums, and i recorded just the first part with vox. the rest of the song has vocals i just am waiting to record them till my throat gets a bit better (im sick).

enjoy

I like this tune - going to be very good when you finish it! Vocals sound very good, considering your sore throat (even not considering it!). You'll have to be careful with sibilance, as I can hear some creeping into the vocal, but nothing that a good de-esser won't fix. I feel the vocal level could be higher, I'm really struggling to make out the words. I can't hear any bass, so I'm assuming you haven't done this yet either - this will change the whole balance of the mix. At present the drums are overly dominant, but I like the arrangement of them (I'm a sucker for anything with lots of toms in it!) - It's really varied & interesting. Guitar sounds quite good, although the performance is a tiny bit shakey at times... Overall, I'm looking forward to the finished product. Well done.

the tune is sounding pretty good man. just a few suggestions (just my opinions since i'm no expert of course):

1) the lead guitar is overpowering the rhythm too much in my opinion. maybe bring it down just a tad.

2) the toms come in way too loud during the acoustic part. possibly bring them in lightly, and have them crescendo sometime just a little before the distortion kicks in. light tom work in the acoustic section will add more of that ambient / background noise feel, and the crescendo will add power/dynamic buildup before you drop in the distortion. at the moment, the distortion drops in a bit abruptly i feel.

3) another suggestion to add power to your distortion kick-in would be to volume swell it up a beat or two before it kicks in. it's an easy way to bring a much more powerful feel to that section.

can't wait to hear the finished piece. good work so far!
