Default First attempt at electronica

I made this awhile back and would appreciate any advice on how to polish it. Obvious first step would be to add drums, but I don't know too much about percussion (and by too much, I mean nothing at all).

Also, I wasn't really going for a chiptune sound so please do tell if you think the synths sound too cheap.

I don't know what this means. "Cheap" is easy to spot in guitar land where there are a lot more rules. In electronic land people spend more time screwing up their synth sounds than improving them. That's one reason I often gravitate to the genre. You can actually be creative with the sonics.

Sounds good to me so far. Get some drums in there!

This is a new genre to me but i like the overall instrumental, I do think when the synths first come out that they seem alittle loud but it works with the overall flow of the track. To me i would go with a 4 to the floor kick(being that i produce hip hop beats mind you)but maybe that would make it sound like a techno track? I guess you can expierement with different drum kits, are you going with real drums or samples(when you do add drums)?
