Default Cakewalk 8.5 Vocalstrip

I just got cake 8.5, and upgraded mostly for the vocal strip since that has always been such a mystery to me. The attached has some pretty skanky guitar for the first 10 seconds...sorry about that, but it's all first take noodling.

The vocal strip has a pretty decent doubling effect ("never a boring moment", and even more in the chorus). It also has some simulated tube overdrive, which I've always thought a bit of a gimmick, but there's a fair bit on this track, and this is about the closest I've gotten to vocals that sound like maybe they weren't done in the 80's, so my first thoughts are that I like the tube overdrive. The vocalstrip compressor is run of the mill. But it also has a de-essor allows you to hear what you are cutting out.

Kick has the new transient shaper, drums are new patch in Studio Drummer 3 (tight kit dry), guitar is guitar rig.

What think?

The vox are pretty cool. They almost start to get that in the bathroom sound from a bit too much delay or doubling. The dessing worked well, I don't hear it and I don't hear ess problems.
