| I know the guitar quality sucks. My acoustic guitar (the throw in the back of the truck let's play at the beach and has 4 holes in it) was recorded with the built in mic of my laptop! The guitars were recorded quickly and I made several mistakes. I just wanted to put together the song structure first before re-recording anything. There are timing issues with the drums. I had to reverse engineer them because I recorded the song at only one time signature and BMP when in reality it was different in several places. When I figured out the correct time signatures and bpms the midi drums were different. So I had to "reverse engineer" the drums so they sounded like the original take . I've also had to strech/cut/paste and move around different parts. Now that I have a "working" idea I'd like to get a everyone's opinion. This is an odd song to me and I'm not sure all the parts fit. i.e. the guitar at 1:47 was always questionable to me...with that said please bash away! Thanks for listening! |

Thanks for the reply... no vocals yet. i'm not a vocalist not that I wouldn't try but I'm lacking equipment. This was a weird song to me that's why I was seeking out some opinions. I have a hard time putting my music into a specific genre. When I first put this together I wasn't sure about it but now that I've listened to it about 500 times it's grown on me but the problem with that is you lose that first time listen impression. |

crooked09, Thanks for the "bashing". I'm happy to have some input from others. This song structure was weird to me that's why I posted it on here. I didn't have a specific idea I just originally wrote the begining few parts on acoustic and then started playing it on electric. That's when the rest was written. I was thinking about replacing the begining acoustic with electric (except towards the end) but I'm not sure about that. Maybe now I'll turn this into two different songs... who knows! You've gotta love the endless possibilites with music.... |

| I agree! The riffs on 3:26 and 3:46 are what stand out..has good groove and timing. Thats your song right there! build off those.. |

awaken1, Thanks for the reply. I guess it would be cool to try and build off those riffs but it's hard to hear them on their own. I really like the remainder of the song after those riffs too. Not sure if I'll be able to incorporate them as well or if they should remain with the other parts of the song. Guess I'll have to tool around with various arrangments. |
