Super Mario Remix, percussion

Hey all, I was wondering what everyone thinks about this percussion. This is a remix of Super Mario World Sub-Castle theme. I did the music but my friend did the beat and now hes moved so I don't know where he is... any way would you all help me break down this beat? ways to recreate it. I just want to understand it lol the dude was a freak he drummed the whole thing out on his Edrums in like a minute

Hey I attached a terrible rendition of this beat in a midi file. It doesn't sound too hot but it is the basic beat. He varies the high hat in some parts, and takes out the ghost notes on the snare every once and a while. If you map some nice sounding drums to this, you probably will be on the right track.

hahahahhaa duude.. thats awesome! Makes me wish i still had my super nintendo. As for ways to be able to recreate the beat, i'm afraid the only way will be to listen to it.
