You should consider adding some tribal drums behind this and some heavy guitar and try posting it in the metal forum. The song as it stands reminds me of something you'd hear looped on the main menu screen of a horror movie dvd. Great writing man.

Smile Re: sunday morning

thanks for the feedback ryanjonrage, I woke up in a strange mood a few sundays ago, the percussion midi loop seemed to grab me and lead me down a dark path. I usually work on things over time, but this did itself in 4/5 hours, and really felt like it wasnt just me in the room.
Have just listened to your Tubular bells halloween thing, guitar sound very good, and the whole piece very effective. It got me thinking about time signatures and that as soon as you depart from the usual suspects (4/4 3/4,6/8), there is a spookiness potential that seems to be hardwired into our genes.
May well try your suggestions.

Try something 7/8 timing.. I have something in the works that I'll be posting with that timing.

I think the percussion takes away any anxiety an makes it all much more light hearted, I would expect to hear this more on a game than a film. I can definately imagine it on Zelda.
