New S/card Or Replace Lost Drivers For Rme96/8?

Like the rest of you probably, I'm stuck in a permenant state of upgrading, I LOVE gear. I have: Intel Macbook, G4 Power PC which has a RME96/8, (for which, during the course of one of those inevitable re-installs, I LOST THE DRIVERS and have had no joy finding a replacement,) I'm running Logic Pro with limited knowledge, fortunately I'm getting by thanks to my ears, which I find are dependable, have recorded about thirty tracks so far. I'm monitoring on HI-FI but decent HI-FI, two amps, Linn Magic I and Marantz KI SIGNATURE, two sets of speakers; Heybrook Heylo's and Quad 11L's, I switch them often. I have a TL Audio dual valve compressor which makes my telecaster sound fantastic in gate mode, I have a Marshall Valvestate 100 and one of the original Laney Linebackers, the 30w combo, from 1987, I love this little amp, in fact I regard it as a classic, the TDL makes it rock like a bitch, I have a Warwick Corvette bass, I started off as a bass player 30 years ago, I use reason for sourcing a lot of my audio, HERE'S THE RUB, I'm saving about £700 for a sound card and just don't know which one to get, I've looked at so many online but... well it's hard isn't it? Please feel free tooffer even the most critical of responses.
