Default Electronic Rock

Rubber Room:
(I took out those harsh cymbals during the first verse; actually took the drums out entirely there.)

Back in the Day:
(Here I lowered the guitar level. It was 'hot.')

Ouroboros (Surf Version):
(Here's a new one; it definitely has some problems to my ear; will have to revisit it tomorrow. In the meantime, someone might find it interesting.)

The top end is killing me on the hihat thing. It's REALLY bad.

What are monitoring with? That should have been super obvious when you were mixing this. I HIGHLY recommend these.

This reminds me of the stuff that you'd only hear by buying an album by some of those bands that were on the Donnie Darko soundtrack. I respect the total insanity of this. It gives me that disturbed feeling that the best Nine Inch Nails music does although in a totally different way. Great work on that!

I'll look into that hi-hat thing. You're talking about 'back in the day,' right? The 'click track hi-hat' part?

I was also wondering about the cymbals during the first verse of 'rubber room.' They seem kind of noisy to me.

I'm monitoring on chintzy phones. (egads)

Thanks

Hey, thanks for listening. I'm going to go and re-do the Rubber Room drums (cymbals).

What do you think of AKG K271 phones? I'll check out those Audio Technicas.

I've never used them. I can't say. I like the idea of headphones being designed (or maybe just marketed....but I don't think so) for actual flat response.
