Sounds very nice. But like all covers I have to ask my self why? Is it any better? Has it added something? Is it saying something new? Suggest you take orignal and give it real BIG shake.

Techy:

1. is the beat too slow?
2. the frontier - war gap is too long.

LOve
Tigs

(I don't like this song)......I mean secretly I do.....But this is real bad!
I can say that 'cause it's a cover.

If it were an original I could find some creative interest, but seriously, why would you even bother putting the time in to record this......granted I can tell you spent some time on it, but I'm taking the role of Simon Cowell here......if your doing a cover.....you BETTTER make sure your better or at least on par with the original.

You sound like you have talent.....post some originals.

Lastly, I've heard some pretty bad tunes on this forum (and the rock one).......but just because they aren't my style doesn't mean they arn't good tunes.....I mean there are many that Love ...'band x' but I could hate 'band x'.........doesn't mean their recording is shit..

but I like this song (the original) and I can't get past that......(I think I actually went beyond my point...sorry Dude!...keep playing hey?)

Thank you everyone for the feedback.

This was more or less a practice at recording and mixing on my own. I know covers get the most negative feedback, because you can't replace the original song. That being said, was I trying to improve the original? No. Was I trying to add something? Maybe, sort of. All I was looking for was feedback on the mix itself. Did it translate well in your big buck$$$ equipment? I'm working with shoestring budget equip here for the time being and was looking to see how far I could take it, and to what level of sonic quality I could get. The song itself is a classic to me, that in my opinion, no one will ever do justice with a cover. I digress. I do have some original material that I'm working on as we speak. In the coming months will post here for feedback. Thank you again

Cheers Gordy

You're wrong on this. Think about why this statement is fallacious.

"no one will ever do justice with a cover?"

Van Halen made a career of it..

Dream Theater has some interesting takes on Pink Floyd and Rush.

I cant count how many pairs of car speakers I've blown listening to Judas Priests' version of Diamonds and Rust.

not sure I understand your statement..
