Sounds very nice. But like all covers I have to ask my self why? Is it any better? Has it added something? Is it saying something new? Suggest you take orignal and give it real BIG shake. Techy: 1. is the beat too slow? 2. the frontier - war gap is too long. LOve Tigs YouTube - Games Without Frontiers - Peter Gabriel (Uncensored) |

Thank you everyone for the feedback. This was more or less a practice at recording and mixing on my own. I know covers get the most negative feedback, because you can't replace the original song. That being said, was I trying to improve the original? No. Was I trying to add something? Maybe, sort of. All I was looking for was feedback on the mix itself. Did it translate well in your big buck$$$ equipment? I'm working with shoestring budget equip here for the time being and was looking to see how far I could take it, and to what level of sonic quality I could get. The song itself is a classic to me, that in my opinion, no one will ever do justice with a cover. I digress. I do have some original material that I'm working on as we speak. In the coming months will post here for feedback. Thank you again Cheers Gordy

Van Halen made a career of it.. Dream Theater has some interesting takes on Pink Floyd and Rush. I cant count how many pairs of car speakers I've blown listening to Judas Priests' version of Diamonds and Rust. not sure I understand your statement.. |
