Intro synth doesn't have much life - some high eq would help (would help the mix overall).

The high end of the mix is lacking in general. This genre tends to have a nice bright high end. The low end is on the muddy side as well.

I do like the arrangement. The song builds and descends nicely. I'm not sure how I feel about the bird chirps. Kind of feels like a mix of new age and trance - which feels a little strange to me. There is some originality to it, but I don't know how appealing it will be to most people.

Honestly, it's very hard to make many comments because the quality of the mp3 you posted is so low, 48kbpm. That low a quality mp3 can make a great mix sound dull, muddy, and lifeless in an instant. So, all my mix comments may be/are directly related to that. try posting at least 192kbpm, or 256/320 would be even better.

Yeah I'll pick up on the high end, which did get heavily distorted from the mp3. (Thanks for pointing that out too.) What happened to me here, as it does with a lot of songs I mix, is that I've heard it so many times a lot of important aspects of the mix go over my head and go unnoticed from hearing it so much and my brain adjusting and getting used to the sound. Next time I'll make sure to work on brightening the high end.

Sounds like SNES music hehehehe. hehehe Try using more effects and more powerful synths. Wich software and vsts did u used?

I used FL Studio 8. The Vsts I used were Synth1 a freeware synth, 3xosc, simsynth, and the old beta of audjoo helix. I was just trying out Synth1 and went with it.
