Any advice is greatly appreciated! I do not know if this is electronic music but I thought it was the closest. This song uses an 808 for the kick so if you are listening through laptop speakers the song may sound a little empty. I uses two acoustic guitar riffs...one for the Main backbeat and the other as a simple accent. So I don't really know what it is, rap? dance? acoustic electric? Your opinons and suggestions are much appreciated! treblE |

Perhaps consider switching out those 'small sounding' toms or snare or whatever they are, and; at some point in the song introduce heavy snare/tom in their place? The bass drum sounds ok. You could fatten it up, but it's a wash either way. Yeah, I would put in some heavy drums for those little 'drum machine' tom/snare. Again, maybe not for the entirety of the song, but at some point make it heavy. Maybe, finally go back to the 'lighter' (drum machine) tom/snare as the song winds down. I would classify this as folk/hip-hop; whatever it is, it's like your own, original flavor of hip-hop. |

@ first the music sounded "new age" but the beat kicked in along with the vox and the song changed completely. The double vox sound a bit too hot. The song is catchy & I like the direction of it. I would like to hear the music change a bit more during the singing or the rapping. Other than that I dig it. I would say this is: Electro.Folk.Hop peace

Thanks for the post pablo.station....I do have a couple of questions. What do you mean that the vox are too hot? The doubling, the harmonies? Are they too hot during the chorus, rap, or singing or all of the above? Thanks again for the post. I'm glad you kinda of dig it. treblE |

Sorry, the vocals (vox) during the doubling, they seem a bit louder than the rest of the track. During the verse the vocals sound good. During the rap they also sound good. Just during some of the doubles. no worries

Thanks E.D.U.B! I like the snare drum sound so I think I will try to fatten her up a bit! Cool I'll get back in the mixing room and try to find a better balance on those adlibs! I'll repost when its finished. thanks again, treblE treblE - Home |
