Default Bash my song!

This is the first ever song I made, it was made on Garageband with my friend. Personally I think aspects of it are ok, where as other aspects are totally awful! Be as critical as you want, I honestly wouldn't be offended if you said it was awful.

I liked it a lot. Very cool feel and I liked the "Radiohead like" vocals.

I'm not a sound engineer so I can't make much of a professional suggestion, but I would say that it could use more low end. It seems like the sound is not full enough. Might try adding more strings on the low end.

Thanks, unfortunately when I uploaded it a lot of the song was cut off, ironically the bit that was cut off is also the part which I think is the worst. I totally agree with what you said, for the whole time we were making the song there always felt like something was missing, i guess the richness of sound will come through when we develop our style more.

The part we can hear is actually pretty cool. Which pluggins are you using for the strings and pads ?

About the things you could improve, I think the kick is not present enough and I don't really like the drums affter 1:28. I think they really sound like coming from a cheap drum machine, and not very processed ....

The song's nice too. I agree about the radiohead touch ;-)

i felt like the panning effect at the beginning was a bit choppy set it so it doesn't pan quite so hard from side to side so you still get the full effect of the movement but without it dropping from the other side quite as hard... try to think if you were in a room with a sound source spinning around you like that. you would still hear quite a bit through your other ear.

my .02 also i love the composition reminds me of like jason borne movie track style.

Hey.. I want my money back! I only got half this song! Seriously, at least you know that this song is sooo good that someone would look forward to hearing the rest of it! The vocals are very cool but with a long intro and only about 30 seconds to enjoy them... how about it... load up the rest so we can bash on the ending some.

Ok here is the full length song. I warn you the second half is not as good, however on the plus side. Me and my friend have almost finished our second song, and I promise you it is far better then this one. It's less pretty, more dancy but still I am much more proud of our second creation. So bash away the full version! Also thank you very much for all the comments so far.

Hey... I think this is great. The drum beats and instrument sounds are a matter of taste and the artistic choices you make. I like it and the fact that you are being so critical of your work bodes well for things to come. I must say that what really shines here.. above all else, is your vocal performance.

The vocals are sampled. Its from Radiohead - Reckoner, We just thought they fitted in really well as a contrast to the darker synth sounds.
