I always used wave file's and burned directly from wavelab. You should be able to enter all the redbook info in the cd wizard tab. sheesh it has been soooo long. Check all the tabs in the montage window and fill in all the info and you should be okay.

hmm good question. Sorry I forget so I can't tell you for sure. I think the files need to be converted to 16 bit and 44.1 but if you burn a cd at the rate you recorded and it works in a player that should mean wavelab converted for you. BTW I used wave lab 5

| Here is a really nice article written by Phil Hill on Redbook standards. Short and sweet with all the info. I did not realize that Redbook is such an old standard and not used much anymore. That sort of falls in line with you are saying Paul, if it works it works. But never the less Redbook is 44.1K @ 16 bit. I know I have burned at 48K, 24 bit and they work everywhere.

I use Sony CD Architect. Creates a text log for the mastering engineer; can be edited as well (i.e., enter notes for the ME).
