    Default Using EZ Drummer's Samples

Is there any way of using EZ DRummer's samples other than within EZ drummer itself? For example with Drumagog? They seem to be protected in some way.
    Bashing using AKG K77 cans.

Not that I know of. Program the hits, bounce down. Use as needed.
$10 Axe-Fx reamps. World class guitar tones are only a couple clicks away.

Not sure if drumagog does this but see if it can trigger to midi. Then use the midi in ez drummer.

Drumtracker does this and is pretty grear. I use it to export to midi and then use it in SSD4

Yes it's fine - I do this all the time.

Nice one, now why didn't I think of that?

As far as I remember, with EZ open and a track created, I just pull the midi piece from the EZ track and dump into into the midi track of whatever the other drum program is. I'm not sure you need to do any more than that. It just works.

Maybe that's what has been said but it just sounded a bit more fiddly to me.

NOt sure if I'm understanding you correctly, but I think you would need to do it the other way around. If I did it the way you suggested, wouldn't I end up playing the samples of the 'other' drum machine? It's the samples of EZ drummer that I want to hear.

Yes you would - sorry, my misunderstanding.

I thought it was the grooves/fills etc of EZ that you were interested in, the actual sequence/layout of them, and wanted another program to use them - albeit with a "new" sound.

But I am a little confused - maybe I'm missing something obvious, but what wrong with EZ palying the samples if that's what you want to hear?

Is it the added functionality of the the other program that you need or something?

EZ Drummer is a programmable drum machine plugin, and cannot detect drum hits from an audio file, which is Drumagog's primary intended purpose. i.e. drum replacement.

I don't have Drumagog, but when I tried the demo many years ago, I do remember something about being able extract the midi information from it.... I'm not sure which version you're using, but the blurb from the website says that plugin hosting is available in DG5 Platinum:

    Plug-in Hosting

As if all this sonic firepower weren’t enough, Drumagog 5 now lets you use sounds from any VST virtual instrument instantly. Just open the plug-in inside of Drumagog 5, select the note, adjust the mix controls, and it’s done. Sounds from virtual drums, keyboards, synthesizers, or sampled sounds such as strings or bass are now readily accessible without any cumbersome (and less accurate) MIDI routing.
