Share Your Drum Samples!
Directions:
Please upload .wav files of your samples using this format:
Drum
-------Direct Mic
------------------Velocity 1
-----------------------------Hit 1
-----------------------------Hit 2
-----------------------------Hit 3
-----------------------------Hit 4
------------------Velocity 2
-----------------------------Hit 1
-----------------------------Hit 2
-----------------------------Hit 3
-----------------------------Hit 4
----------------------------(Up to how ever many velocities you did)
-------(Continue to add which ever mics you used ie: overheads, room, bottom snare, ect)
Upload the files to a new post. I will download them, double check if you need to fix anything, then host them from my dropbox on the original post. (So people don't have to scour the thread for samples. Don't worry I will give you credit for your sample sets).
For Trigger, and Drumagog files, just place them all in a .zip file and upload them. I will also move those to host on the original post.
Happy Sharing!

Awesome. I'm excited about this one. Take a peak at drums others have recorded is kinda like sneaking a peak at your mom or sister's boobs. Cool.
I wish I had some to contribute. I may have to get on this one.

I will post the full tci files for set one soon, then I will post set 2 wavs and tci.Adam

Re: Share Your Drum Samples!
I haven't got many home made samples, but I have got some - not sure if they are that desirable for anyone else, but what the hey!, someone may find them useful.

Re: Share Your Drum Samples!
I dont care if a sample set of pots and pans. It will work for me. One man's trash is another's treasure.
Sick, tell me how you feel about them. They are dry as a bone effects wise, so they are really ready for processing.
Thanks man, when ever you get around to it I would really appreciate it! As I'm sure the other guys around the forum would!Adam

Re: Share Your Drum Samples!
I'm doing BFD kit pieces out of them (so I can blend the overheads and room mic as needed). I'll make these available as soon as I'm finished if you'd like. For the record, BFD has the following channels for each kit piece:
Overheads L and R
Room Mid and Side or L and R
Ambience Mid and Side or L and R
Snare Top
Snare Top 2 (optional)
Snare Bottom
Kick In
Kick Out
Direct (if not a snare or kick, then the snare and kick mics are left open for capturing bleed).
So if someone is recording samples to make available here and want me to convert them to BFD format, if they can make them as above I'd apreciate that. Less channels is more than OK, but if you can provide samples of all channels it'll make for a very tweakable and life-like kit. Perhaps we'll have an "official" RR drum pack for BFD
Also, BFD does articulations. Common articulations for Snare are Hit, Flam, Side stick, Rimshot, drag. For kick drums, they are usually Hit and No Snare (a hit without the snare rattling). Maybe these are too much, but they add to the realism.Diplomacy is the art of saying "nice doggie!"...

Re: Share Your Drum Samples!
Definitely! Sounds awesome. I didnt need to record any bleed because all I do with these is mix them in with the original drum tracks we recorded. (See as the zip files are named for the different bands whom these were used for).
I may put together a simple drum pattern for each sample pack, so we can show people what each set sounds like.
Anyways, if you want to send me the BFD files I can upload them to the original post!Adam

Re: Share Your Drum Samples!
Just saw this.
I would love to try to do this, but since my sample sets are only used for replacement most bands dont need all those articulations recorded on the snare lol. Especially now since I charge by the hour, people are gonna bitch when I wanna do samples to begin with. lol.Adam

Downloaded. These kind of showed me some mistakes I've been making while tracking drums myself. Thanks, lsu.
