Hi I'm new here and also I'm new to doing my own vocal recordings, I'm trying to record Hip Hop music, the Tascam US-122L, Samson C03 & cool edit pro on XP but seem to be having a slight problem! I have double checked that its all wired up properly and its all running ok, and when I record it works, but for some reason the sound of it sounds dull like I was in a box and recorded it or something! I just wondered if there's any way of opening up the sound or fiddling with all in some way to make it all sound a little clearer. thankyou to anyone that can help Last edited by amaru; 10-17-2008 at 09:42 PM. |

I don't think the vocal is necessary dull. I'm about 95% sure the vocals are distorted from overloading the preamp. The other possibility is the mic itself is malfunctioning. There is no way to remove this after the fact. It is what it is. Do you think there is a possibility you tracked too hot on this one? Brandon |
