Default Pre-amp input impedance for vocals.

Hello, I have an ART - DPSII pre-amp and a AKG C 3000 B microphone.
Can someone share some ligth over the input impedance setting i should use to record vocals?
The input impedance goes from 3k to 150.. I use it at max setting.
How does this affect the sound ? i notice that the lower the setting the recording gets less brigth and lower gain..
help pleasee..

That's EASY. Twist the knob until it sounds good. This is a setting you MUST set by ear. There is no technically appropriate answer to this.

This is a classic case of using the wrong tool for the job. A recording forum is NOT the right way to test a setting on a preamp. The right tool is your studio monitors and your own ears. Does that make sense?

This what I would expect. What else do you want to know?
