Default Panasonic DA7-----Good OR bad?

Panasonic DA7 is it Good OR Bad? Why why not? IF bad what is good? Small band Acoustic guitar. Electric Piano, Bass. Electric Drums, 4 Singers and a choir. Two JBL 515 and as monitors Fender 1270p.

It is a bit tough to answer your question with such limited info. My gut feeling from your equipment list is that you have better places to spend your money.

If you are going live off the floor and need an interface with more channels. I would get 3 sm-81's to mic the choir and for acoustic guitar. An M-audio profire 2626 for 8 channels. An API 3124+ (4 world class mic pre's) and a neumann tlm103 for the lead vocalist. This would sound 4000% better then what that board will give you.

Cheers

I'm confused. Is this board for recording or to use as a mixer live through a PA?

HAHAHA I wish I could always get a return like that. 90% of my budget has went into the last 20% in my studio.

A digital mixer would not be my first choice for a live console.

There are some nice functions that a digital mixer can have for live mixing, but I think not having a dedicated easy to grab eq section for each channel would be too much of a pain. The last thing I'd want to do when doing live audio is sift through menus.
