Need Help With A Skit

I don't have time right now (because Bruno v. Carrie Ann is on in 10 minutes), but I'll look through the sound effects I have on my AW16G tomorrow and see if I can post some snippets that might fit in.

I take it this is a good cop - bad cop grilling of a suspect, or such? DRAGNET comes to mind. Some weird reverb or echo may give the impression of the sterility and starkness of the interrogation room.

Remember the movie Serpico? It had at least two scenes such as what, I think, you want. Lots of ambient noise from the police station: people talking outside the room, phones ringing, faint sirens in the background ...

If you add any effects, just be sure the effects on the voices match.

exactly, what i was thinking but i cant figure out how to get the room ambience, i guess im looking for just the overall sound of a room, dark and gloomy basically like u said about the sounds of the interogation room, the scenario is my and my homeboi are the suspects, we have the skit written out and the cop is basically trying to pin thingz on us because we are gettin alot of attention "he thinks we are selling drugz" when in reality its just because of our lyrical skills, ppl like us for that so they are drawn to us so we are just going back and forth with the detective on how hes basically blaming us for things we are not doin, then itll be like an explosion oooorrrr and dj record scratch effect and then right into the song, we were think also before the skit even start to have like just random noise form a inner city.....cars passing by all that and have the cops sirens in the distance gettin closer and closer and finalyl it ends up being u they get, then in will traslate into th interogation room...if that makes sense....but if u look and find somethin let me know id appreciate it man thankx...sorry for the long paragrpah i should start spacing things out like u did in ur post

When I did my sound effects, I had room ambiance galore. This tells me that maybe you are putting the mic way too close to the source. Leave it 5-10' away and you'll have plenty of ambiance. Hopefully it will be the "right" ambiance for your skit.

archie i checked out the sounds you provided and althought they wouldnt really work with this skit i came up with alot of other great ideas for them i appreicate that,

and than sfxman ill try that link out and see what i can come up with
