I've never used either. People I respect have very happy with the M-Audio BX8a studio monitors. Consider getting them here. I've had way too many problems with the reliability of Behringer to ever recommend anything from that company.

I have the BX5a's with a little less power than the 8's and presumably a little less bottom, but they have been great. Never worked with Behringer anything, but I've heard enough to make me a little unsure about them.

I own Bx8a's and really love them. For the money you cannot get any better in my opinion. I have never heard the behringers before so I cannot give you an opinion on them.

I have heard them both... The Behringer B2030a I believe they were sounded thin. I don't know a better way to put it. It was kind of like the difference between an MP3 and a WAV file. Just not quite as clear and solid as the BX8as'

I have a pair of BX8a's and a BX10s. Sound-wise, I really liked them. They have a good balance. But they've proved to be too unreliable. Each monitor (that's three in total) has developed its own problem that makes them unusable. Not too long out of warranty either. It's a shame. I was really happy with them.
