Default Mixing my first LP! Any advice appreciated!

So I got hired to mix a full length album and I was wondering how the users of this forum would go about it. Like a step by step breakdown of what you would do. This is my first time mixing this many songs at once and I am curious to hear any methods used. What I recieved as far as files are: Quantized un-sampled drums, all raw guitars/bass, Reason instruments turned into .wav files, and un-edited vocals for 10 songs. Any advice would be very appreciated!

How would you go about mixing one song?

Well I would pretty much make sure all the drum hits were strong, then sample all the drums/make them sound good. And continue onward until everything is mixed down except the vocals. Then I would use Melodyne Bridge to fix any bad spots and then do a car test haha. BUT I am wondering if anyone would do..let's say ALL the drum sampling first, or all the vocal editing first, or one at a time, etc.

Take your answer then apply it nine more times....

You have 10 separate songs to mix, in my opinion. They all need their own attention.

The way I do it is this. I choose a song that seems to represent the band and the various vibes that they do. I spend a lot of time on this mix. Use this track as a guide line for the rest of the mixes. Don't obsess about this too much though I use my notes to speed the process of the other mixes. The same gear with the same settings on different songs can sound pretty different. You are the common denominator and likely following your tastes will be the glue that holds the album together.

I have done albums where I do one song at a time not worrying about what I did on the last song as I do the next and they come out more consistent then you may think.

I know plenty dude, I just haven't ever mixed a full length before and was wondering about other member's ways of going about it. No need to be sour about anything. I have almost no equipment and I put out great sounds...as you can hear in this topic. Make fun of me v5

I removed it because it was rude. Sorry for the offense. No, no one told me, either. It was wrong.

Are there specific concerns you have? As for work flow I tend more towards the one song at a time for big projects because of the tedium of editing. I will get all the songs 85-95% there and then start listening to see how the entire project is shaping up. I may have had an exceptional snare in one etc. I adjust as necessary then finish.
