Default Mic Issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

okay so i'm a lyricist/rapper and stuff i'm pretty amatuer but i've been recording on garageband on my macbook pro with a samson USB mic and i have a pop filter. so when i record alot of times the playback sounds fuzzy and i don't know how to fix it i tried messing with everything. is it the mic? is it the settings? what should i do to get a crisp clean sound without getting a static like sound when i yell a little. i want my music to sound as professional as possible.

The key phrase I pick out here is "when I yell a little". If you're recording is distorted when you yell that tells you that you're overloading some component of your recording chain. It could be the mic, it could be the preamp or even the input to your audio interface. Try backing off the volume settings on each piece of equipment, watch for red oveload indicator lights and most importantly move away from the mic when you yell. This is called "mic technique". Learn when you can sing close to your mic and when you have to pull away. Sometimes simply turning your head a bit helps (so that you're not screaming straight at the mic).
