Re: Mic Issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The key phrase I pick out here is "when I yell a little". If you're recording is distorted when you yell that tells you that you're overloading some component of your recording chain. It could be the mic, it could be the preamp or even the input to your audio interface. Try backing off the volume settings on each piece of equipment, watch for red oveload indicator lights and most importantly move away from the mic when you yell. This is called "mic technique". Learn when you can sing close to your mic and when you have to pull away. Sometimes simply turning your head a bit helps (so that you're not screaming straight at the mic).
