How to start ......

dear guys

I am a child and filtered idiot in recording techniques, studio rigs and pics. Due to lack of time and not having sufficient money I am starting this new thread to learn about recording.

Up to now I kept my mic above the keyboard speakers and recording my ideas as tracks in REAPER in my PC.

Now, I am going to learn MIDI recording in this thread with all your blessings.

Start

I am connecting the midi cable in and out from my keyboard to my PC USB port.

1. What windows will open?
2. What questions will be asked?
3. What I have to answer or opt?

These sound like Reaper questions and you might get some response posting under Solve Tech../Reaper forum.

Basically, you have to open a new MIDI track, select the input device/port, and assign a output device to convert MIDI to audio - usually MS GS Wavetable.
