help with everythingg

ok ive been lookin into a lil bit of producing and what its all about. im still grasping everything and i have alot to learn of course but i have a local band aroudn my town who ithink is decent and has definate potential in their music but could be tuned up a little. i was wondering what the best thing would be to get to help tune the music make it flow better and add beats or w.e and mix and play around with the songs to make them come out professional
