I reamp all my guitars and just go straight out from my profire 2626.
I'm sure a reamp box would make things easier but i just have to tweak the levels until it sounds realistic.
Does anybody have any personal experience with this? I'm pretty convinced that there is no need for a reamping box when going from a DAW to a guitar amp. A low impedance output will have no problem driving the high impedance input of the amp, so the only purpose I can see in a reamping box is to pad the signal.
Has anyone ever tried just bypassing the reamping box and going straight to the amp? If so, what issues, if any did this cause?

cool, just checking, do you have any noise issues with that setup? Do you apply your attenuation digitally or do you just turn down the analog outputs?
Not really, its just a matter of balancing all the levels. Sometimes, if I have everything really quiet itb and then crank up the analog outputs and amp, I'll get some wierd digital sutff coming through. But if I'm sending the direct signal through a pedal or something you just gotta tweak it all for a couple of minutes.
