I've only used a demo of Revalver (which was pretty good for the heavy stuff!). EQ is their to be creative or corrective, but it's always relative. Let me explain. To me, when you ask "what EQ settings should I use?" it's not any different if you asked "How far should I move my index finger to touch my nose?". The answer depends on where you are right now in term sof guitar sounds or finger/nose relationships. Toss a mix in Bash This Recording. I'll be able to help then. Brandon |

I want to get the fuzz away and get a more tigh sound,I heard that you could do that by tweaking the eq listen to this just a test I put together with Cubase. It`s like a chacking sound. Tindeck Audio: Download File |

one thing to get tighter/clear sound is to record 2 tracks on each pan side. One can be what you used in the sample and put it to the extreme100% pan, the other guitar should be with reduced distortion and a bit more low end and put it 95-98% of the pan.

well, it is not limited to 95-98%, I have seen people panning like 75-95 and 100. Sometimes even going 3 tracks per side and starting from 50. But at the time when I posted, I was playing with 1 gtr with higher end and HP up to 200Hz and panned to 100%, another with more low end LP up to 1000Hz and panned close 95-98%, to blend two better. But still I keep looking for my favorite tone :-)

I'm not sure how EQ will take the fuzz out. Fuzz coming in equals fuzz coming out and I'm not sure EQ will take it out; kinda like reverb. Once reverb is in; you can't take it out (during tracking that is). Can you post a clip?
