Default Digital Clicks in my recordings

hi today i recorded a guitar track micing an amp with a akg perception 170 into my audio kontrol 1 sound card

after listening to the track i discovered that at random points during the recorded material a pop like sound would occur

no im pretty positive ive read about it somewhere

but i havent been able to find a way to get rid of it

so my question is two things

what causes these "pops"?
and HOW do i get rid of them?

i am aware that i will probably need to rerecord the track which isnt a problem i just want to stop the problem in the future.

thanks

You're going to have to increase the audio buffer size.

I am transferring old records to cd. I have a semi pro sound card (Creative Fatality X-FI with front Bezel) a professional turntable and mixer with preamp.

Um... good for you? Did you have a question? Or is this your introduction, in which case welcome to the group
