Hi, I'm doing the course now. The materials are excellent. The Notes are easy to understand and enlightning. They also give you professionally recorded tracks if you take up the Mixing course also. We will have to mix it and how to do it also is clearly shown. Very much worth it. The Guy is very experienced and know all that he'sm talking about. Thanks. |

I actually completed this whole course recently and after it was over I wish I would have better spent my money. That $300 could have really went towards some great books that would give much more in-depth detail on the material. David seems to really know his stuff but the little bit of info you get from Masterclass really isn't worth the price. Its all way too vague and general especially the later chapters. I would not recommend Masterclass if you only have $300 to spend on learning material I think there are a lot of good books out there that could give you much more in depth info and a few tips as well. But that was my experience, I truly wish I would have spent $300 on books and DVD's instead of the very shallow (but helpful) Masterclass. Hope this helps. |

I notice on his website, that there is a way to complete the course and get a certificate, where you send in samples of your work, and he or another instructor critiques your work. After critiquing your work, they send you feedback on how to make your sound better. Has anyone done that aspect of the class? If so, how did it work out? Thanks |

I didn't take that version of the course but I did notice that it is offered. I'm under the impression that it costs more to attend that course. I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for in this course. If it's the basics of Recording audio than it may not be a bad idea since they will actually give you feedback on your work and probably some good tips. If It's Mixing that you want than you should e-mail and ask for details on the Mixing course that they offer. you may also want to consider Berklee Music School, I've heard some good things about them though are a little pricey. My experience though with Audio Masterclass was I thought it was overpriced and underpowered. If it wasn't against the license I would upload some of the content so that you could see it for yourself, It should not be priced the way it is for the quick overview of info that you get. hope this helps. |

Quick update. Just checked out the website online, and the course went UP in price. $875 plus shipping, or $775 if sent via internet. I wonder what's going on with the price increase? I'm interested in the course, but that's quite a jump from the previous $300. Yeesh! Although a still bargain, in comparison to attending a full time course in person. Oh well.
