Default Cubase audio gap problem

Sorry about this!
Wouldn't it be nice if things just....worked?
I've noticed that I'm getting these 1 second gaps in my recorded audio, they're about 30 seconds apart. Anyone got any ideas what it could be?
It's a full version of SX not a copy if that helps!

Sounds like a operating system doing routine very important useless stuff. MS like to do stuff like give you an important pop-up and index every file on your computer. Search disabling "services" for your OS version (xp, Vista, etc.).

Are using any demo plugins ? They often put a gap in the music.
