 ah crap, any one have any bad experiences with the tascam us-1641?
it's on sale at Musicians Friend for $300 today and I'm trying to find a reason not to get it. Anyone have any good or bad experiences with it? Buy TASCAM US-1641 USB 2.0 Audio/MIDI Computer Interface | Audio Interfaces & Convertors | Audio Interfaces | Musician's Friend  |

I like mine. I have some latency issues but I think it's more my fault. I have recorded 14 tracks and midi all at the same time. Not trying to sell you just giving my expierence. good luck |

It's only 8 with xlr and only 2, 1/4 with gain ability and switchable line or guitar ( ie; hi or low z ). the other 4 are either +4bd or -10db. I use some kind of pre with those. You know to keep a good gain structure.
