About Samson CO3

Hi guys, I tried recording guitars but they always sound crappy cause I play on amplitube 2..., so I tried to Mic my console using the sound card out with Amplitube distortion (as an efect) and then amplify it on my console and then mic it to pc... I only have 2 mics... A shure sm57 and a condenser wich name is samson co3... i can get a fair sound from my dynamic but my condenser realy get a very drown sound... is it the mic? or is because its a condenser? Could i get good results just using only my sm 57? I tried my condenser at many positions, but it sounds crappy....I also tried other patterns, cause this is a multipattern mic, but i get same results... =S anybody knows why?

What? Are you saying you mic'd up your mixing console? I've never seen a mixing console that made noise.

The condenser is going to pick up quite a bit of room sound....more than the dynamic mic. This may be the "drown sound" you are referring to.
