NEVER work by the job. At least that's my preference. I only work by the hour if it's something unfun like this. ALL jobs start out being "quick and easy" and evolve into the equivalent of the Romans building the aquaducts. It's just human nature. The great balancer is $$$ per hour. People don't build aquaducts on an hourly rate. This project will take you at least one hour to listen through. I'd figure 2 hours to go through and cut all they don't want. (This could easily be 10 hours if people are insanely picky or what you to distort the truth ...(which may make it more of a "fun" project)). As far as cleaning it up, you are not going to work any miracles so it's not like you'd need a ton of time on that....unless they want you to clean up individual words.....(think aquaducts again). This project should fall in the 2-5 hour range, but it could be 10 minutes if they say "Cut everything but the last 10 minutes and make it louder". As for your per hour, if you are not the car salesman type, charge more than you think you are worth. If you are the car salesman type, eat some cyanide. Brandon |
