Sounds great Steve. I bet your in Nashville doing demos for everybody, Huh. You got the real voice for it. No doubt there. The song sounds nice. Clean vocals and guitar. Is this master EQed and all yet? The guitar could use a bit more volume as not to seem like its competing with your voice. That may be my speakers though. I notice that a lot of Christian music has the vocals hotter in the mix for a reason, that may be the case here also. For the most part it sound wonderful across the board. great job. Where and what did you use to record this?

I was waiting at about 1:06 for drums and bass to come in. Think it would have added a little more energy. And a slide guitar would sound really sweet as a climax near the end. Also agree you've got a really nice voice; don't need to do a thing to the vocal track! Guitar is sweet also.

actually I just did the recording for Steve last tuesday I been tellin him he needs to send something to Nashville. for this recording I used Pro Tools LE 8 the guitar was a DI and used a Behringer C-2 mic through a Behringer ultra gain pro mic 2200 pre around the bridge area. I used a CAD Trion 8000 tube condensor mic for the vocals. this was the first recording I had made w/ Pro Tools I like it so far and I am in SW. Pennsylvania

Wow that's crazy! I didn't think you could make Behringer gear sound very good. The guitar sound was very good. I have never been a Behringer fan even thought I have the Truth B 2031 monitors. I got them when they first hit the market years ago. I have been thinking of getting a second condenser mic for a while. I have the Audio technica 40 47sv, and I like it but I would just like to have something different also. Does that CAD trion sound good on other vocalist with more tenor range? Have you used it for any other vocalist? I would bet Steve just sounds great on any old mic? Haa

that song too is one that was recorded when I was still pretty new to the whole recording thing and I was really untrained in the recording end of things

great vocal, good guitar, but needs to panning, needs bass, drums, steel guitar, and some back up vocals... lacks direction without it.

what i mean is it takes a fantastic voice and good song and causes it border on the edge of boredom.
