Well guys here's another one,any pointers,I have a flanger effect on my guitar,a phaser effect on my brothers, and a little tube distortion on the slide guitar parts,I used the same advice as before and panned the guitars, one around 25 left, the other 25 right, slide and vocals straight up the middle, all guitars, andd vocals are mono in stereo out,I don't know if that's the best settings or not,any advice on that would help out as well, again guys I appreciate your time and patience,I'm dedicated to doing the best I can with what I have,so any advice to help us sound better is greatly appreciated.

After a minute or so I would bring in drums and bass and some heavy, thick lead action. And with some authority! It would make this song a little less redundant. It seems this song wants to rock but can't because it had to be home when the streetlights came on.

First off,Thanks for the feed back,I'm really wanting to put some drums, and a bass line in,still learning how to work some of this stuff,I'm a singer/songwriter/musician,who really has no business mixing at all,but w/a fixed budget and all, just doing the best I can, sure makes it easier,w/folks like you guys out there to help out,Thanks.Tony B told me about panning,so trying to incorporate that, the slide I had turned up a bit,but didn't want to overpower the song,I might of turned it down a little to much,it was like I got something that sounded pretty descent, and jumped the gun a bit on posting although, kinda glad i did,I agree on the chorus vocals, they get you all fired up and then taper off and let you down(working on that) any suggestions on how to work the drum and bass thing,What I have is a Firestudio Project,Cubase Le4,mxl990,mxl991 mics, and a yamaha psr-275 61 key keyboard(midi) not much I know but it's a start so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,Thanks

I agree with everyone. I so badly wanted this song to kick in hard with some slightly 'verby drums and lead. If you did that, I might have to reconsider my stance on Country music. I don't really like flange/chorus effects on guitars, but perhaps it's a country thing? If I was the producer I might have a clean guitar with that effect a bit less predominate in the background. With so much effect like that it steals away from the sound. You could even have one clean channel of guitar and a second with the effect. For a country song, I would definitely listen to this again. I'm not big on modern country, but you play a sort of country/rock tone, which I dig. Keep up the good work man, hope to hear more!
