Default Hi Everyone

I'm sorta a newbie here and just thought i needed to say Hello to everyone. I've been in music for many years. I used to gig alot. Got in with some corporate gigs. Played with Vince Vance and the valiants (Big corporate gig here in Dallas/Fort Worth) among others. Starting recording my own stuff about 8 years ago. Unfortunately through all the hard times I've faced in the past.......I have sold almost all of my equipment. I'd give anything to get it all back. But Hind sight is 20/20 afterall.

Well as it stands I've been getting some more equipment (slowly but surely) and have gotten back into just recording. We'll not really recording but doing mixdowns. Can't say that i'm recording because I'm just utilizing midi. But have aquired some pretty neat sample libraries that satisfy that disease that runs through my veins called "music". Anyhow I have got a song that I want you guys to bash for me. It's Mustang Sally and it still needs alot more work. There aren't any vocals yet but will soon have them.

I understand that I will need to remix when I get the vocal track down. I'm just looking to see what you guys hear. I want to know your thoughts on the actual mix. It's so hard to do this in my room with just a pair of Mackie MR5's and a Bose Sub woofer.

There are quite a few things I plan to redo in the song. But will eventually get to it.

OKAY........how do I post the song on here. Is it okay to post a link to the song if I upload to my server? Let me know either way so I can let you guys bash it.

Just saw your post...welcome! When you post, look down below the message area for "manage attachments". When you click on it, you can upload an mp3 file from your computer (or a URL).

Thanks JJB.......I'll do that as soon as I put some finishing touches on my song here. I was wondering if I'd hear from anybody.

Some of us prefer you attach directly to the thread. Posting links sometimes doesn't work for folks like me behind firewalls that block those links.

Go down to "Manage Attachment" (see below) and you can upload from there.

Welcome by the way.
