Great mix and really good song. A little steel guitar would sound really nice on this tune. Maybe another harmony vocal in the tenor range would sound cool. I almost got a Son's of the pioneers vibe out of it. Another great job. Enjoyed listening, Jeff.

I have a concern with the stand-up bass in my mix. I wonder if its too loud cuz on some systems it seems to distort ....others its perfect. I gotta get a handle on thsi mastering stuff cuz I think that's where the solution lies . Does anyone know of a graphic EQ software that I can run all these tracks through upon completion ?

Thanks alot everyone ...really appreciate the expertise

Rick ,

thanks for listening and the nice comments.....the voc mic is an Apex 430 condenser ....79 bucks at Long and Mcquade ( Canada ) ...I've had better luck with it since I recorded
that track , though.......mostly post eq y'know ....just tweaking and tweaking. I've been using an Audo Technica 3035 that someone suggested I tryand it's really nice but for the 150.00 difference , I think I'll keep tweaking the Apex..

..all the best
