Nice track but I can't get past the out of tune electric . I think the song would work better without the electric , actually...tuned or not . its a nice intimate , refelective kinda tune . A fiddle with a long bow or a distant steel would add a lot , I think . Another great job on the vocal and the mix , though . I'm envious of the vocal sound you're getting ..

wow - these guys have good ears. yup - nix the electric - songs doesn't need it. the lyrics would stand this up just fine without the distraction.
cigarettes and love... nice line.
then how about -
....grab my hands and pull me up
"brush me off" and wake me up

"brushing my eyes" seems a little odd ...? I get what you saying, I think, but it just seems odd, kind of made me think more than I wanted to while enjoying the song. I hate when something gets in my eyes.
Nice song though.
