anyway, it depends on what you want and what kind of effect you are going for. in this context it works well.

i'd always send the main vox to a compressed stereo aux so that it'll sound big. how big it would sound in the final mix can be controlled via how much i send to the aux. sometimes i would vary the efx with delays, sample delays, spreaders, flangers, chorus etc.

thanks irawan, i did this real quick, with just layering my vox, a little eq delay n compression, i went with the less is more approach because i was always just saturating my vox with effects. im still getting the feel for the right effects settings and the amount im sending to the busses. thanks so much guys for the positive feedback, its good to see that its finally paying off. i appreciate it. goose holla at ya boy.

oops forgot to ask irawan do u have a starting threshold form ur vox? i start in the -16, to -20 range but i always go with 2.1 compression am i hurting myself by doing this? with a -2 output

I hear a big difference in this from the first time i listened to your vocals, less is always more, still sounds a little sharp on this end, but definitely not bad, and definitely a nice improvement. keep pushing man
