Alright so here's the update, I think I got the chorus down, and I think I have a more natural sounding flow this time, naturally because I have most of it memorized. Lemme know what you think dudies and beauties. Thanks.

can really clearly understand anything your saying so i can really say anything about your lyrics, sounds boomy, might wanna cut some of the low end off. flow is a unorthodox, well its not anything i can remember hearing lately. you lose your timing at some points. a i hear a lot of hisses and hmmms in there aswell. but you said this was just a first go so post it when you get it right so we can really let you have it lol. nice tho not bad at all.

the thing that gets me with you ren is and i hate to say that people sound like other people but i just see eminem when i here you? its all in your delivery, it just reminds me of when he first came out. lyrically you have talent but i just have a hard time getting past that eminem feel. i would say your last song was put together better but this is just a first run so it will improve. maybe work on your adlibs to bring depth to your voice? keep at it bro!

Honestly 9 out of 10 people say I sound like Eminem, and I know it could hurt me, but this is seriously just naturally how I write and flow. I mean, he is my favorite artist, and he's really what got me into rap, so I guess it's only fitting that I kinda am in his mold musically.

With that said, I like to think I'm kind of a Eminem/Chamillionaire hybrid, with the bits of singing I do too...he's also one of my faves.

But, last but not least!

well its definetly an improvement! now just tweak the eq on the vocals and build alittle more harmony on that hook to really bring it out(wide)! sounds alot better tho, i can hear the vox now.

Thanks dub, now I'm a rookie as shit n mixing, like I just youtube tutorial, google it up, so what u mean by tweak the eq, and bring the chorus out wide? right now on the singin part of the hook I have reverb-tight and close, and echo-canyon, should I switch to an option like wide and thick for the singin part of the hook?

what you can do is layer your vox tracks

lets say we'll do a 8 track hook
2 tracks dead center
1 30 left
1 30 right
1 50 left
1 50 right
1 100 left
1 100 right

this will make your vox wide and add a chorus effect to it. also tweak the eq just means you have to eq your vox tracks better to bring the shine out of them. look at the eq chart i posted in the mixing forum and youll see what frequencies you have to work with.

when you do all those tracks do u actually record them all individually or just hit record on 8 tracks?

PS I read about panning and tried that, I think it's a bit clearer. And I thickened up the singing in the chorus, will check what u said tho!
