that eq is fighting u bro, what kind of monitors are u using and how are they set up? i also think ur hat might be panned alittle too much to the left, i like them on the right but thats me, also its boomy but eq can fix that.from what ive learned from this site, less is more. that goes for effects eq etc. what plugins are u using? are u mixing with fl9 setting up sends for the effects plus the master track? remember eq first then add effects.the last should be the limiter. i like the beat and the sample, if u dont have any1 to spit on this yet id like 16 bars, keep it up goose u got the ear for piecing the beats together.

right now i have some older m-audio monitors but like i said they've run their course. mostly Native instrument plug ins. yes i mix with the fl 9 settings but i guess its something that im doing out of order or doing wrong. i have one person but i could always experiment with other people... thanx bra, keep the criticism coming. wat doesn't kill me only makes me better and stronger

try turning the limiter off first, just de select it. after your tracks are arranged send them to the mixer and que them up on thier own tracks then do your mixing by track starting with eq, then do ur verb and delay, compression, limiting last(on the master fader). also watch the amount of delay ur using a good way to test it is let the track play then stop it with the space bar if it should draw out a little bit then fade out. did u check that beat out yet that i posted? let me know

ye i did check it out, i liked it cause its a different feel but seems kinda plain ya kno, like some sound or backgroud is missing. thats just my opinion

well if i knew anything about making beats i would help, been playing around at it for years now, only time i get anything good is on accident, but this doesn't sound bad, i could write a song to it so i guess that means i like it. im a writer/engineer so i'll bash you when you get some words on it
