Hey yall. It's DZ, or was, haha, going by Veeny now, more personal of a name for me (play off the government last name), and uhh, i been working on tryna EQ a lil better on my recordings, well, this is a song i recently did (i love it and hope yall do too!).



its called Paranoid, written by me, about me, recorded by me, all of it, beat, not sure who made it... lol, well, lemme know if theres any editing i could do to make it sound better.

wut up veeny, to me it sounds like the main verses might be a tad over compressed? the hook is a beast the way you stacked the tracks really brought that hook out and gave it a real nice vibe but when the transition back into the verse happens theres a noticable difference in the vox, maybe a touch of eq in the upper end will bring some shine to it or a drop in the mud range 250-500. i like the track also watch the timing on the vox towards the end im hearing a slight timing issue. overall good work the beat is spot on for the track so i like that.

This song is cool. Just sounds like you need to come through clearer with more presence. Something needs to brighten and excite your vocals...

thanks yall, imma give that a try. i dont really mess around too much with the editing, i mean, i record it and get kinda tired, dont take much time with the rest, but ill give it a shot, thanks

alright, so i redid this song completely, vocals / mixing, all of it is brand new pretty much, used some new VST's i got on it, theres really nothing added to it vocally (chorus effects / reverbs / echoes) except on the intro, which i kept.

ill post in a few days once i mess w it a little more (maybe)

oh yeah haha, the hook hasn't really changed at all... recorded the same way (vocally at least... main track, and fully overdubbed twice both panned 100% opposite each other)

damn only 3 tracks it sounds real thick wut kind off effects did u use?

i dont use effects. lol

its all in how it was recorded vocally... real up close to the mic, alot of low end eq on it, and me deepening my voice when doing takes.
