New beat from last night!

I just made this beat last night, its not mixed yet just arranged, let me know if everything has its owns space b4 i mix it and add effects!

The drum (machine) sounds stiff and ride cymbal doesn't sound like it fits well into groove very well. The synth and bass repeat the same riffs. Is that because there will be vocal or lead instruments later and we're supposed to ignore the sameness of the rhythm?

Have you thought about using drum loops recorded/provided by studio drummers to add more realism to you track. Or, is the drum machine sound the target sound,. If so, there are prerecorded drum/computer/groove box machine loops as well.

i think im going to layer another kick underneath the main kick, this was made with fruity loops and i wrote all the notes(no pre done loops)with new sounds that i just got. i think when i add reverb and delay i will be able to get more of a realistic sound, we'll see i just made this last night so im just going to work it. thanks for the comment.

Cool. I use FL Studio as well.
You can put some power into the midi drums.

i think im hurting myself with the rokit 5's since i they dont pick up the 808 well so i cant hear if its too bassy or not. the only thing i did to this beat since posting is dropping out the bass so that it only comes in every so often so its not too repetitive. thanks for the feedback
