songs are pretty good.... i like 'insanity' better. vocal performances are excellent.

however, the vocal performances are overshadowed by recording problems. the vocal treatment and recording needs to be improved, namely plosive and vocal problems. for now they sound like 'scratch' vocals. work on recording mic techniques and get a pop filter or you can build one.

what kind of mics are you using?

I'm just using a Shure sm 58 but I found out I want a condensor mic instead, correct? Where can I find a pop filter or make one?

This production sounds as good as Listen but the lyrics/arrangement aren't even close, started boring me within the first 6 lines. Sorry but I loved Listen!!! just remember I am an old dude *S* Keep it up you are definitely on the right track!!! Nice mix!!!!

You are most welcome and believe me I do hate being critical of another artist, but you are right on with the other tune, totally!!!

Pop filters are easy, just need a coat hanger, pair of panty hose and a twist tie. Bend the wire in a wee circle with a arm extended out about 6 inches that will slip between you mic and mic stand holder. Stretch the panty hose over the circle you have made and twist tie it tight. Slide the ic over the extended arm between the mic holder and stand. You now have a "spit guard" poor man's style. Let me know if you need a picture to see what I am talking about. I use mine all the time and works perfect.

go here .... Homemade pop filters - Hometracked

and maybe take a look here too

The New & Improved Voice Over ?Porta-Booth?

trust me on this one bro. they WORK!

anyway, condenser or dynamic, it all depends on your voice and what YOU want and need and can afford. SM58 is very good cheap mic. very good. work on your recording mic techniques to get the best recording. if you want a cheap condenser mic, i would recommend Studio Projects C1. cheap but yet have Neumann capabilities.

Well..I'm not really sure what I want to do with my voice necessarily? I mean, I rap, do some singing, and I want it to sound crystal clear, I mean, I would buy a more expensive mic. Maybe up to $150. What kind of mic techniques do you mean?
