To my ears, low frequencies are too boomy.

I agree but I LOVE my bass! And I think the clarity of the entire track is still ok! I actually had it boomin alot more and turned the bass down some

I love some extra bass too when I'm listening to music :-) However, in my recordings, I usually turn the bass down to the point that it is not too boomy or not boomy at all. Later on, I let the listener decide, and/or eventually to turn the subwoofer on, or the bass boost switch or something like that.

In your particular music style, most people will need a subwoofer to hear those ultra-lows and to feel the vibe 100%.
